Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak but He is strong

Remember this song?  Go ahead and admit it, when you read this you were singing it. It’s a catchy tune that we all learned in Sunday school. It’s also packed with truth. In fact, it’s not just true for little kids, it’s true for you.

Jesus loves you and that is a fact. The Bible says that God loved the whole world so much He sent Jesus for us. Some of us know it, some of us don’t. It doesn’t change the fact though. Jesus loves you.

How do I know it? His word, the Bible tells me. The “little ones” are not just little kids. Here is where you need to change your thinking. They are you. We are all God’s children. In fact, we never grow into God’s adults. The Bible always refers to us as His children. In God’s eyes, you and I will always be His “little ones”.

One reason I think He sees us as His little ones is because He so big. Something as big as Jehovah God, who made the heavens and earth, who spoke and the universe came to be, would have to look at little ole us and see us as His little ones. We don’t compare to the greatness of God.

Which brings me to the last line. We are weak but He is strong. Do you believe it?  Well, I guess it doesn’t matter. You cannot believe it and it won’t change the truth. We ARE weak and He IS strong. Not believing it won’t change this fact, but it will change the way you live your life. Fear is the belief that we are weak and He is not strong, or that we are strong and He is weak.

Today’s challenge is this… hone in on that first line. Know that Jesus loves you. It’s a proven fact that He loves you. All you have to do today is believe it.

I’ll see you Sunday,

Kyle

P.S.  Good news on the AC in the worship center. It’s getting fixed but not this week. We will be in the fellowship hall again this Sunday for worship. Bring a friend and I’ll see you this Sunday at 10:30 in the fellowship hall.
